WEEK 1 - DAY 5

Living from the Overflow

VERSE

John 15:4–5
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

THOUGHT

Jesus tells us to remain in Him because apart from Him we can do nothing. When we stay connected to Him, our lives naturally produce fruit:  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

A life with God is not about striving harder but about staying rooted in Him so that His life flows through us. The more time we spend with Him, the more His character becomes evident in the way we speak, think, and act. Our relationships change. Our perspective changes. Even our desires begin to change.

This is the kind of transformation that cannot be manufactured. It comes only from the daily choice to remain in Him and let His life shape ours.

REFLECT

Am I trying to live for God without staying connected to Him?
How can I remain in Him more intentionally this weekend?

PRAYER

Lord, keep me close to You. Let my life bear fruit that reflects Your character and brings glory to Your name.
